Every operation here — merging, splitting, editing, compressing — happens directly inside your browser tab using WebAssembly and modern JavaScript. Your file goes from your hard drive into your browser's memory and back out as a download. Nowhere else.
The tools are designed to process your files locally in the browser. Some tool libraries may still need to be loaded by the browser before a tool can run.

Are my files really not uploaded anywhere?
Correct. Every tool on DSUTILITY runs entirely inside your browser. Your file is read using the browser's built-in FileReader API and processed with JavaScript libraries like pdf-lib and pdf.js. Nothing is sent to a server. You can verify this by opening your browser's DevTools → Network tab while using a tool — you'll see no outgoing file transfers.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login, no email required. Just open a tool and drop your file in.
Is DSUTILITY free?
Yes — every tool is free to use. If ads are enabled later, they help cover hosting and development time, but they will never interfere with the tool itself.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. DSUTILITY is built mobile-first and works on modern Android and iOS browsers. Larger files process more slowly on phones, but everything works.
What's the maximum file size?
It depends on your device's RAM, not on us — since we don't upload anything. There is no single practical file-size limit because browser memory, device RAM, PDF complexity and the selected operation all matter. Large PDFs may need more time or memory, especially on phones.
Does the PDF Editor let me edit existing text?
No — and we're upfront about that. Editing existing PDF text in a browser is technically not feasible with current open-source libraries. Our editor lets you add new text, images, shapes, signatures, and annotations on top of your PDF. See the editor page for details.
