What this tool does
A blank page can be useful for separating sections, leaving space for handwritten notes, adding a cover or divider, or matching a printed document layout. This tool adds a genuinely empty PDF page while leaving the existing pages in their original order.
The tool creates a new PDF and does not overwrite the original file. For changing page order, use Reorder PDF Pages; for removing pages, use Delete Pages.
How to insert a blank page
- Choose or drop your PDF.
- Wait for the document to be read.
- Choose where the new blank page should be inserted.
- Keep the default page size or enter custom dimensions in points.
- Click Add Blank Page & Download.
- Open the new PDF and verify the inserted page before sharing or printing.
Limitations and honest expectations
- Very large PDFs can take longer to render because each page thumbnail must be previewed.
- Reordering changes page sequence, not the underlying text or visual content of each page.
- Digital signatures or certificate-based document validation may no longer remain valid after a PDF is rewritten.
- A blank page does not contain text, images or form fields. For editing existing content, use the PDF Editor.
Privacy
The selected PDF is processed in your browser using client-side JavaScript and the DSUTILITY PDF worker. The tool is designed to create the new PDF without uploading the document to a DSUTILITY processing server. Your browser and device still determine memory use and processing speed.
