What this tool does
Reordering is useful when pages are technically correct but appear in the wrong sequence—for example, when a scanned record was assembled out of order, an appendix needs to move next to a section, or a report needs its cover and supporting pages arranged consistently. DSUTILITY shows a thumbnail for each page so you can work from the document itself rather than remembering page numbers.
The tool creates a new PDF using the order you choose. It does not rewrite the original file stored on your device. For removing pages, use Delete Pages; for saving only selected pages, use Extract Pages.
How to reorder PDF pages
- Choose or drop your PDF.
- Wait for the page thumbnails to load.
- Select the page you want to move.
- On mobile, use Move up or Move down. On desktop, you can also drag a thumbnail to another position.
- Check the numbered positions shown on the thumbnails.
- Click Reorder & Download PDF to create the new file.
Limitations and honest expectations
- Very large PDFs can take longer to render because each page thumbnail must be previewed.
- Reordering changes page sequence, not the underlying text or visual content of each page.
- Digital signatures or certificate-based document validation may no longer remain valid after a PDF is rewritten.
- Plain page order is different from changing text inside a PDF. For annotations, text, images or signatures, use the PDF Editor.
Privacy
The selected PDF is processed in your browser using client-side JavaScript and the DSUTILITY PDF worker. The tool is designed to create the reordered file without uploading the document to a DSUTILITY processing server. Your browser and device still determine memory use and processing speed.

Can I reorder pages on a phone?
Yes. Select a thumbnail and use Move up or Move down. This avoids relying on desktop-only drag and drop.
Does the original PDF change?
No. The tool creates a new PDF. Your original file is not overwritten.
Can I restore the original order?
Yes. Use Reset order before downloading.
Can I delete pages here too?
No. Use Delete Pages if you want to remove pages, or Extract Pages if you want to create a new PDF from selected pages.
